A very interesting thing happened to me yesterday.

I got up, like I do every day, and I decided to get on the scale. And boy, was I shocked at what I saw…

Turns out, I've probably put on somewhere between 10 and 12 pounds since the last time I weighed myself. I don't even know the last time it was when I weighed myself. It might have been a year ago. I don't really weigh very much, but I will from now on.

It made me realize that I'm really not doing things as well as I could be.

And in doing so, I'm letting a lot of people down.

    I'm letting my wife down.

    I'm letting my sons down.

I'm even letting my patients down. I should be as healthy as possible to take care of my patients.

It was a big revelation for me, and I've now got a plan in place.

It includes eating mostly carnivore food, intermittent fasting, exercising and using mental imagery to achieve my goals.

The mental imagery part is based in large part on the teachings of my friend Matt Furey. If you don't know who Matt Furey is, I encourage you to check him out. He's a coach, mentor, friend of mine and has oodles of great stuff on the interweb.

This whole episode has me thinking…about you reading this blog or watching the video…

And the question for you is, are you letting people down?

Are you missing things in your life, whether it's diet, exercise, attitude, getting weekly chiropractic care like I recommend…

Are you missing things in your life that are having a negative impact on your life and your health?

If you are then this is a check in with you, and it's also an opportunity for you to say, "Yeah, I'm not doing X and it's affecting me Y, and I need to just get back on track".

I hope this helps you see things differently.

To be honest, this whole process wasn't a bad thing. It wasn't like I got on the scale and was like, "holy crap. This is the worst thing to ever happen to me"… it was a great wake up call.

Sometimes we need a wake up call to do things better. Let this article and video serve as a wake up call for you to perhaps make some changes in your own life.
