# Stop Making Chiropractic Content. Steal What Lookout Valley Is Doing Instead

There are a lot of chiropractors making content.

Very few are making content I actually want to stop and watch.

https://www.instagram.com/lookoutvalleychiro/Lookout Valley Chiropractic is one of them.

And more importantly, they’re doing something I think almost every local practice should steal:

**They’re turning neighboring businesses into content partners.**

Not boring “we love supporting local business” posts.

Not a picture shaking hands with the owner of the coffee shop.

Not “10% off if you mention our office.”

They’re making actual fucking content together.

One of my favorite examples:

## “The Thairopractor is always ready.”

They teamed up with Lemongrass Thai, pulled Los 3 Amigos into the bit, and made the whole thing feel like a tiny local comedy universe.

Then they did it again.

The sequel teamed them up with Los 3 Amigos and brought Webb Chattanooga in for a guest appearance.

That’s the part I love.

They’re not just creating a post.

They’re creating**local lore.**

The chiropractor becomes a character.

The restaurant becomes part of the story.

Another neighboring business makes a cameo.

And suddenly the content belongs to everyone involved.

That matters because most chiropractor content is still built like this:

**Doctor talks. Doctor teaches. Doctor explains chiropractic. Doctor asks you to book.**

Lookout Valley flips it.

The town is the content.

The chiropractor just happens to be in it.

And that creates a much more powerful marketing loop.

## They’re borrowing distribution.

If Lookout Valley posts another chiropractic Reel, they’re largely distributing it to their own audience.

But if they make something with a Thai restaurant, Mexican restaurant, coffee shop, local attraction, gym, barber, bakery, or other beloved business?

Now you potentially have:

**Your audience + their audience + their staff + their customers + local shares + algorithmic discovery.**

That is a very different game.

## They’re borrowing trust.

There’s also an invisible endorsement happening.

The restaurant doesn’t need to post:

> “We officially recommend this chiropractor.”

The association itself does some of the work.

People see two businesses they recognize having fun together.

That familiarity compounds.

And when that person eventually needs a chiropractor, the practice doesn’t feel like some random clinic they found on Google.

They’ve already seen them around.

## They’re becoming part of the town.

This may be the biggest lesson.

Lookout Valley Chiropractic doesn’t just feel like a chiropractic office that happens to be located near Chattanooga.

It feels like a**character in the community.**

That’s a much stronger position.

Because local businesses usually market_at_the town.

Lookout Valley is making content_with_the town.

Big difference.

## And the partner actually wants to share it.

This is where the play becomes especially smart.

Traditional referral marketing asks another business to promote you.

That’s a shitty pitch.

“Hey, would you tell your customers about my chiropractic office?”

Instead, this becomes:

> “Can we make something funny together that makes both of us look cool?”

Now there’s something in it for them.

They get exposure.

They get entertainment.

They get a piece of content.

They get access to another local audience.

And because they’re actually featured in the content, they have a reason to distribute it.

That’s how you turn a partnership into a flywheel instead of a referral agreement collecting dust in a drawer.

## The real formula

I’d boil the Lookout Valley play down to this:

**LOCAL BRAND

- CHIROPRACTOR CHARACTER
- RIDICULOUS PREMISE
- COLLABORATION = BORROWED ATTENTION**

And the key is the ridiculous premise.

Don’t just interview the restaurant owner.

Don’t walk through the coffee shop talking about posture.

Don’t make every collaboration secretly become a chiropractic lecture.

Make the other business part of the joke.

If it’s a coffee shop:

**The chiropractor is responsible for adjusting the beans before brewing.**

Ice cream shop:

**Every cone must pass a structural integrity exam.**

Mexican restaurant:

**The tortilla chips need orthopedic clearance.**

Golf shop:

**The chiropractor adjusts the clubs before they’re allowed on the course.**

Bakery:

**Someone has to perform a posture exam on the tallest cake in town.**

Running store:

**The doctor evaluates the biomechanics of every shoe in the building.**

You get the idea.

The subject almost doesn’t matter.

The formula is:

**THEIR WORLD + YOUR AUTHORITY + ABSURD APPLICATION.**

That’s why these work.

## Stop making so much chiropractic content.

This is probably the bigger lesson.

The chiropractor with the best local social media account may not need to talk about chiropractic very much at all.

Talk about the town.

Feature the people.

Feature the businesses.

Make jokes.

Borrow audiences.

Build familiarity.

Become the person everyone keeps seeing.

Because the goal of local marketing isn’t just to educate people.

It’s to become**mentally available**when they finally need you.

And this is where I think Lookout Valley is doing something a lot smarter than the 900th chiropractor filming:

**“3 stretches for neck pain.”**

That content may educate.

This stuff builds identity.

## There’s an AI/local authority angle here too.

This is another reason I think the play matters even more now.

Over time you’re creating associations:

**Your practice ↕ restaurants ↕ coffee shops ↕ local attractions ↕ community personalities ↕ events ↕ your city**

You stop existing as an isolated business yelling:

**“I AM A CHIROPRACTOR IN THIS CITY.”**

And start appearing inside the actual digital ecosystem of the city.

That does not mean one Instagram Collab magically makes ChatGPT recommend you.

But strategically, this is exactly the world local businesses should be building:

**real relationships, real mentions, real associations, real local relevance.**

That’s good branding.

That’s good social.

That’s good local authority.

And increasingly, those things are all starting to overlap.

## Here’s the play I’d steal immediately.

Pick 10–20 businesses in your market that already have attention.

Not just “wellness partners.”

Actually, I’d avoid being too obvious.

Go after:

Coffee shops. Restaurants. Ice cream shops. Barbers. Golf courses. Gyms. Car dealerships. Boutiques. Bakeries. Local attractions. Pet businesses. Sports organizations. Photographers. Breweries. Local personalities.

Then come up with**one stupid idea**involving their business.

Film it.

Tag everyone.

Use the Collab feature when it makes sense.

Let them be the hero too.

And then don’t waste the asset.

One partnership should turn into:

**1 hero Reel 1 behind-the-scenes clip Stories Photos Email content Google Business content A local article Retargeting creative Maybe even PR**

Now one afternoon of screwing around with your neighbor becomes a month of marketing assets.

That’s the play.

And Lookout Valley Chiropractic deserves the shoutout because they seem to actually understand something most local businesses still miss:

**You don’t have to build all the attention yourself.**

Sometimes you just need to make something cool enough that everybody wants to share the attention they already have.

Steal this shit.

And while you’re at it, go support the businesses willing to play along.

That’s how you build a brand people actually recognize in a town.

### Is Private Equity Going to Destroy Chiropractic — or Is Saudi Money Our Only Hope?

I was watching a podcast this morning and they started talking about private equity ruining sports and fast food. And I immediately thought: Oh shit. Chiropractic. Their example was basically this: Wendy’s doesn’t suddenly become terrible. It happens one stupid little decision at a time. Somebody realizes fresh lettuce costs more than bagged shredded lettuce. Nobody dies. The spreadsheet gets slightly better. The sandwich gets slightly shittier. Repeat that decision 100 times. Eventually you’re standing there holding something with the same logo, the same name and technically the same ingredients... …but it ain’t the same fucking sandwich.
