Verified treatment outcome for Right shoulder impingement at Foundation Sport & Spine in Arlington Heights, IL.95-99% reduction in pain, full range of motion restored, unlimited pickleball and exercises with the shoulder achieved over 8 weeks, 3 times per week. Diagnosis: M75.41 (Impingement syndrome of right shoulder). Additional benefits: Lower back pain improved, neck ROM improved. Treatment: Gregg presented to the office with right shoulder impingement and the inability to do certain motions with his shoulder with pain. He also lacked full ROM at the far ends of flexion/abduction and internal rotation. He tested weak with muscle testing in the right latissimus dorsi, long head biceps, shoulder external rotators (infraspinatus) and also his supraspinatus. Xrays also demonstrated a lack of proper coupled motion in the spine with flexion/extension views and he also had a mild flattening of his cervical curve. Gregg was treated with corrective chiropractic care, Active Release Techniques (ART), massage therapy, muscle activation/Neurokinetic Therapy, and we also designed a custom shoulder rehabilitation program for him, starting with stability and dynamic proprioception (3D mapping) and a lot of band exercises for the muscles that tested weak/inhibited during his exams/re-exams. Later, we incorporated strength on top of those stability exercises and also incorporated core/full-body movements while focusing on the shoulder during these movements (using body blade in a side plank, etc.) He responded slowly and linearly, but reported a 96-99% improvement after approximately 8 weeks or 24 treatment visits. His Xrays also showed fewer subluxations/restrictions and improved ROM. His shoulder had full pain-free ROM after the treatment program ended.. Patient experience: I learned about Dr. Porcher's office when my son was playing high school football and he was the team chiropractor. "I learned about Dr. Porcher's office when my son was playing high school football and he was the team chiropractor. He was big into muscle activation and practically all the parents of the team's players were talking about it. I had seen him years ago for an adjustment and activation here and there, but when I developed a more serious shoulder problem this year, I knew who to call. Dr. Porcher's newer approach (compared to how it was back in 2017/18 focused not only on my shoulder, but also on trying to correct problems in my neck, which he said was connected to my shoulder problem. I don't really understand it all, but I know that he does, and he and his team (especially Bre his Massage Therapist) really helped me to make a full recovery. I'm able to lift weights--even overhead--and I can play pickleball with my wife as much as I want to without problems. Dr. Porcher is definitely a miracle worker."
