Dr. Young is a native of Oakland, CA who grew up cross-country running and cycling through the Redwoods of the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from UC Berkeley and received clinical honors through his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West. He completed the challenging 300-hour Diplomate program in Craniocervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP) through the International Chiropractic Association, attending monthly in-person training in Chicago over three years. He is Level 2 Certified in NUCCA Procedures and Protocols and attends the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) Conference twice a year for ongoing training. He has received extensive training in radiographic positioning and analysis as well as MRI reading, enabling him to diagnose upper cervical MRI findings that are at times missed by radiologists. He has extensive post-graduate training in Spinal Decompression and Laser Therapy. An Eagle Scout, Dr. Young continues to serve his community as the volunteer chiropractor for homeless youth at San Diego's Urban Street Angels, visiting the non-profit's campus weekly to adjust program participants.
