    Patient Experience

"My sons had both seen Dr. Porcher for various problems with their knees and feet, and after having my knees slowly get worse since 2020, I decided it was time to give his practice a chance. I played volleyball and basketball for over 40 years and knew that I had significant wear and tear. I’m sure my knee X-rays still look the same as the first day I came in, but my stiffness, balance, and pain have all significantly changed. I have been able to be active and walk with a friend several times per week without thinking twice about it, and have been to Disney world twice and been successful to do so without needing a mobility scooter. I’ll keep seeing Dr. Porcher every 2-3 weeks so that I can keep up this newfound ability to be mobile and active, which is so important at my age."

    ✨Additional Benefits Reported

The patient also experienced these additional improvements:

    Disney World without mobility scooter
    Improved energy

    Treatment Details

Bill presented to the office with moderate bilateral knee osteoarthritis, with associated pain along the anterior and lateral regions of both knees, an inability to stand or walk for more than 5 minutes without increasing ache, stiffness, and tension in his lower quads and IT bands. He was treated with Active Release Techniques, Muscle Activation, Dry Needling with electric stimulation, massage therapy, and targeted rehabilitation that focused on balance, ankle mobility, and hip/ankle strengthening. Bill reported at the end of his treatment feeling at least 90-95% better than at the outset but with occasional mild flare ups depending on activity. He also was able to visit Disney World with his family and walk throughout the parks (7-9 miles per day) with minimal discomfort and stiffness.
