    Patient Experience

"I continue to be blown away by Dr. Schwenn’s knowledge and ability to help. One night during pregnancy, I experienced severe sciatica pain truly 10/10, husband-has-to-help-me-move-in-bed level. I was close to going to the ER. By morning the pain was slightly more manageable (7–8/10, so I called Dr. Schwenn for a same-day appointment. Before my visit, every step sent shock-like pain down my leg and I was limping. After that first appointment, my pain dropped to a five and the shocks and limp were gone. A couple days later my pain had climbed back to a seven, so Dr. Schwenn tried a different adjustment on my pubic bone (which I didn’t even know was possible. That made a huge difference. With visits a few times each week, my pain has now decreased to typical pregnancy discomfort — mostly tightness and weakness that I’ll address with PT. Dr. Schwenn continues to monitor my pelvis throughout pregnancy and also works on ligaments and muscles, helping with even the “normal” pregnancy aches."
