Treatment Details

Puneeth was one of the most severe cases of Lower back pain with nerve involvement all the way down to his right foot that we have seen in our clinic. His first several trips to the office he stated he needed to lie down in the back of the car in order to travel. Pain was severe and treatment was at first difficult. We focused on using McKenzie-style end range loading exercises, flexion distraction technique, and Active release techniques. Over time, we added muscle activation procedures (RPR, NKT) and were able to eventually get him performing rehabilitation for the last two months of his care. His improvements were very slow and gradual at first, but he was set on avoiding surgery and injections. He did not show very much improvement until approximately 4 weeks into his treatment plan, and didn’t start making strides until the last month of care. He said he was almost at 90% improved when we finished his initial 45 visit treatment plan, and he continued with maintenance care for the next 2 years until moving back to India with his family.
